I have a master's degree in Learning Design & Technology with emphasis on eLearning Design and Implementation, and a bachelor's in Astronomy from the University of Colorado. I'm interested in interactive education online as well as in planetariums, museums, & other science centers. I aim to promote science literacy and be a strong advocate for diversity and inclusivity in STEM. Currently I'm an independent, remote instructor for students in China and have the privilege of working from anywhere in the world.
This site is intended to showcase my teaching, instructional-design, eLearning, leadership and other professional work. My love for instructional design began in the planetarium where I worked as a professional astronomer to design, build, and present astronomy classes for hundreds of learners. I used the planetarium dome as my classroom and used fully immersive, live-rendering 360° software to build my lessons. These lessons were taught in real time, meaning, I had to operate the visual aspects of the planetarium dome while teaching!
